Nonprofit Organizations and Community Development
One of the most notable examples of the GG & Associates principle of turning visions into reality is the NE Centre of Community Society (NECCS). NECCS started as a small grass roots organization but has raised $120 million towards their recreational & community vision. NECCS will start construction of The Genesis Centre of Community Wellness in the summer of 2009.
GG & Associates led NECCS through a three year start-up process that has allowed them to turn a small community hall project into the most innovative Community Centre in Western Canada. The Genesis Centre of Community Wellness has received strong support and tremendous reviews from all levels of government, business partners, and nonprofit organizations.
Energy Industry
GG&A has partnered with other consulting firms to provide First Nations Consultation & Public Consultation processes for energy firms such as:
- EnCana Corporation
- Conoco Phillips Canada
- Laricina Energy Ltd
- Athabasca Oil Sands Corporation
These firms have recognized the need to partner relationally and formally with the local communities where their projects can help strengthen and build healthier communities.
